Terms of Service

Soira provides general information and personal record-keeping. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional.

These terms (“Terms”) govern your use of Soira — a resource hub, private diary, Care Circle, and AI guide for parents and caregivers of autistic and neurodivergent children (the “Service”). Soira is operated from Johor Bahru, Malaysia. By creating an account or using Soira, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who can use Soira

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Soira. Soira is intended for parents and caregivers, not for use by children. You confirm that you are entitled to record and share the information you add about any child, and that you have the authority to do so.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. If you sign in using Apple or Google, you are also bound by their terms for that sign-in. Tell us promptly at hello@soira.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your content

You own the content you create in Soira — your diary entries and your child's profile information. You grant us only the limited permissions needed to store, process, and display that content back to you and to the Care Circle members you invite, and to operate features you choose to use (such as Lumi). We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.

Care Circle access

When you invite someone to a child's Care Circle, they can see that child's diary and profile at the permission level you set. You are responsible for who you invite and for the permission level you grant. You can change permissions or remove members at any time.

Lumi, our AI guide

Lumi is an optional AI guide powered by a third-party AI provider (Google). Its responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suited to your situation. Lumi is not a medical, diagnostic, clinical, legal, or professional service and must not be relied on for decisions about your child's health, safety, or care — always consult a qualified professional, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services. By using Lumi you agree that your messages (and, when a child is selected, a limited, de-identified context excluding the child's name) are processed by our AI provider to generate replies, as described in our Privacy Policy. Usage limits may apply, and we may monitor use for safety and abuse prevention.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Soira for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • upload content that infringes others' rights or that you are not entitled to share;
  • attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, probe or disrupt the Service, or bypass security or rate limits;
  • misuse Lumi — for example by attempting to extract another person's data, generate harmful content, or circumvent its safety measures;
  • misuse the Service in a way that harms other users or the integrity of Soira.

Soira and its resource content (articles, videos, glossary, FAQ, and Lumi) are for general information and personal record-keeping. They are not medical, diagnostic, legal, or professional advice and are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified provider with any questions about your child's health or development.

Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Soira offers a free tier with usage limits and paid premium plans. Where paid plans apply, the price, billing cycle, and what's included are shown before you purchase.

  • Auto-renewal — paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • How you're billed — on the web, billing is handled by Stripe; on mobile, by the Apple App Store or Google Play (via RevenueCat). Manage or cancel a subscription in the relevant store or billing portal.
  • Cancellation — you can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds — refunds are governed by the rules of the store or processor you bought through and by your local mandatory consumer-protection rights.
  • Price changes — we will give reasonable notice of any price change before it takes effect.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Soira available and reliable but provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We may add, change, or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms; when we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soira will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — including your mandatory consumer rights.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from Settings (see our Privacy Policy for how deletion and the 30-day grace period work). We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly breached.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not deprive you of any mandatory legal protections — including consumer and data-protection rights — available to you under the laws of the country where you live. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at hello@soira.ai so we can try to resolve the matter informally.

General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Soira regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a successor of the Service.
